These background pages grew out of another project as so often happens :) I love the multilayered look of many batik designs, where one pattern overlays another in the process of dyeing the material and it was this look that I was trying to create for a series of papers. These two papers seemed to be the "odd one outs" and took on a life of their own.
Lots of trial and error later, I had put together the other elements.
If you have seen me use these colours before, it is because I find that they suit many of my old photos, both sepia and black and white. Of course you may find they look better recoloured for your project.
The two pages will also form a conntinuous image when placed side by side, a look I rather like in my album.
