The Potato Vine _ A Desktop Wallpaper

Yes it looks like Spring!

But no. This pretty creeper, Solanum jasminoides is found in many Australian gardens, flowering at the end of Summer and early Autumn.

I used a photo taken by my son in Canberra last week to put together this desktop.Thank you Paul!

You may notice that I have used the background paper from my floral scrap page as a mask for the background!

If you click on the image above, it will bring up a larger image to download.

If you have a wider or bigger screen, you can download a zip with other sizes, HERE.

Welcome to the first day of May!

Post Script!

I have just finished creating a mini scrapkit using similar images to those above. It contains:

2 .jpg background papers 12inches by 12 inches at 300 dpi

1 .png journalling block approximatly 8 X 8

1 .png brad [to hold it on :) ]
You can download the zip HERE

Don't forget to check out our card site and gallery. You will find a matching card there!

A Heritage Scrap Page with a Country Feel

I created these pages with a bit more of a country feel to them with botanical images fading into the background...very suitable for some of my ancestors who came from a rural background. They are fairly textured pages with some highlighting to give them a "lift" which is hard to demonstrate in these smaller images.

The zip to download on has 3 pages in .jpg format and two frames as .png

You may find that you have to recolour it slightly to suit your own photos.

I am very happy for you to mention this kit on mailing lists but I would love a link back to this page :)

Two Free Floral Scrapbook Pages and Frames

There are two somewhat similar background papers in this simple scrapkit, both 12inches X 12inches at 300dpi. One has a fine self striped texture.

The two scrolly frames are transparent .png images also at 300dpi. I designed them to fit a 4inch X 6 inch photo, but they could easily be scaled down.

As the whole kit is in shades of black to grey, it would be easy to recolour or the backgrounds could also be used as masks.

Here is a simple example layout.

The kit can be downloaded HERE

If you use this kit for an online layout, I'd love a link back here :)

A Desktop for Autumn

Autumn has arrived a bit early in this corner of Queensland with frosts on the granite belt earlier in the week. It is usually a little warm here for a really spectacular display of Autumn foliage, but my virginia creeper has been a wonderful splash of red on my verandah already.
I have made this new desktops using various textures and images that I created in Paint Shop Pro.You may need to click on the image above to get a really see the textural effect of the background.
I've placed a zip of various sized wallpapers in my
portfolio on ShareCG.
I'd love to hear if you like it!
