The twelve days of Christmas represent the twelve days between Christmas and Epiphany. The song is a very old one and each verse probably has religeous significance.

The single partridge has been said to represent God or Christ himself as the first day is of course, Christmas Day.

Remembrance Day 11 November 2007

Today is the 11th of November. A time to remember all those who served their country in times of conflict. A time especially to remember those who lost their lives so that we can remain free.

The Irises in our area have been lovely this year, possibly due to our colder than normal winter.
